Together we make it happen.

BES was established in 1984 primarily to deliver start-up support services under the Governments original Enterprise Allowance Scheme. As an organisation we have adapted and evolved over the past 30 years to ensure we can continue to support our communities.

Our Vision:
Together We Make it Happen

Our Mission:
To deliver services that support the development of prosperous communities.

BES is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing support and services in the following key areas:

Facilities Management

We operate two Staffordshire libraries, Clayton and Silverdale, as part of the County Council’s Community Managed Library scheme, which has enabled the libraries to continue to operate as community hub’s in their respective communities.

Contract Management

We have over 30 years’ experience of contract management in the business and employment skills sector. We are a dynamic, resourceful and reactive organisation which has enabled us to successfully be awarded European funding, private sector funding and government funded projects to Contract Manage.

Enterprise Support

With our roots firmly planted in Business Start-Up, our history and expertise ensure we are able to continue to deliver an enterprise coaching programme to those who wish to start their own business across Staffordshire.

Community Activities

The health and wellbeing agenda align with our organisational ambitions which sees us provide community activities from our two library venues for the local community to access with the main objective of reducing isolation and boosting wellbeing.
