AN online blogger with thousands of followers, a former regional journalist turned Head of PR and a web-wise marketer will be sharing their wisdom as part of special event designed to boost business marketing.

vsu_meetup_small_banner Abigayle Warner, Rob Smyth and Matthew Fowell will  be on hand at the special Virgin StartUp marketing  meet-up in Walsall later this month in a bid to help  firms make the most out of their marketing efforts.

Miss Warner has more than 11,000 followers on  Twitter and runs a variety of blogs that have been  viewed by around one million people. She will talk about social media and how businesses can maximise its potential.

Rob Smyth is the Head of PR at Business Enterprise Support, which is partner for Virgin StartUp in the Midlands, and will be on hand to talk about how firms can get noticed by print, radio and TV journalists after six years working in the regional press in the Midlands.

Matthew Fowell, of Five Rivers, will be the final speaker and he will talk about maximising sales opportunities via your firm’s website and how to try and ensure every visitor turns into a sale.

He said: “I’ve led many presentations in London, the Midlands and Bristol about how to ‘Maximise your website’s potential’.

“I’m honoured to now be selected to team up with Virgin StartUp to help businesses further grow their customer base.”

Business Enterprise Support will be hosting the Virgin StartUp Meet Up seminar from 6pm until 9pm on Monday, April 25, at The Hub next to Walsall College, in Littleton Street West, Walsall.

BES Enterprise Coach Glenn Watts will also be on hand to talk about the Virgin StartUp loans programme.

The event costs £10 per person and includes food and non-alcoholic drinks.
