BES IN EUROPE
29/01/2010
During November 2009 BES secured funding through a Leonardo partnership to take part in a project entitled,"The Business Support Professional Career Pathway", one of 68 Leonardo Partnerships approved in the UK this year.

The aim of the project is to work with partners across Europe to explore and develop new and innovative interventions that support the Business Professionals Career Pathway into a sustainable model in each partner country.
BES is working alongside Birmingham University who will conduct the research element of the project.
Enterprise organisations from Belgium, Slovenia, Spain, Bulgaria and Norway will also take part in the project.
Representatives from each of the organisations met up at Birmingham University for the first time in November to agree a working timetable.
This was followed up in January with a 2 day visit to Bruges, Belgium, where the partners shared information on how enterprise is regulated and funded across Europe.
The representatives from BES were, Ian Carlier, Development Director and Gemma Walford, Senior Manager. Ian said, "The trip was very informative and a huge success. The partnership working has been excellent. We are hopeful for a successful conclusion to the project next year."
